Housing Spectrums is a platform for an expansive, ongoing research project that draws together lived experiences of homelessness, co-creative research processes and creative practice.

This website was made in response to ‘Making a House a Home’, a co-creative research project between autistic residents of Henrietta House hostel, researcher Beth Stone and artist Morgan Tipping.

Residents shared their experiences of communal living, identifying barriers to safe, accessible, and enjoyable accommodation and thought about how spaces could be re-designed to meet different needs and preferences. In reflecting on thev audio, artwork, interview transcripts and photographs that were generated, there was an emergent need to make these experiences and perspectives visible and accessible.

Morgan approached Simon van Stipriaan to create a platform of visibility, in order to honour the lived experiences of the people involved. The site profiles co-creative and creative research alongside academic texts and is able to respond to new projects, experiences, bodies of research and insights, reflecting and profiling dynamic and responsive practice.
